Who will rule the Box office in 2023?

There are number of huge movies lined up to be released in 2023 in Indian cinema, and the hype around them is massive.

But only the Box office numbers will decide the success of those movies. Let’s discuss about some of the most awaited movies to be released this year.

Paathan

1. Pathaan (Hindi).

Sharukh Khan is back after four years in silver screen, and with the first big movie of 2023, Pathaan. Amidst all the controversies, this Sharukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham starrer does have the potential to do something big in the box office.

The controversies will impact positively or negatively will be known once the movie is released. But, the controversies did create a buzz among audiences in India.

Part of Yashraj’s spy universe, this movie does look stylish and promising.

2022 was a poor year for the Hindi film industry in terms of Box Office numbers. Very few Hindi movies did well, which is very disappointing for the industry.

Content wise too, other Indian movies from regional cinemas, specially from the south were way ahead of Hindi cinema industry, or Bollywood as they call it.

Shah Rukh Khan is come back after almost 4 years with Pathaan

But Pathaan seems to have all the necessary ingredients to rake up the numbers at the box office, some high octane actions, sizzling hot songs, beautiful locations, etc, but only 25th January, when the movie releases, we shall get to know about it.

After the pandemic, the taste of the audiences have changed unbelievably, same old tactics may not work to pull them inside the theaters.

Content is the king now and if the stories and the screenplays are not good enough, no movie is going to work at the box office.

Shah Rukh Khan is come back after almost 4 years with Pathaan

SRK has great fan following in India and in entire world, he could show his magic again or not in the box office, everyone is waiting to know.

Interesting and big hyped movies of SRK are lined up like Jawan, Dunki and Pathaan of course, this one being the first and much awaited, people would like to know what numbers it will garner at the box office.

Salar..

2. Salaar (Telegu).

This Prabhas and Prasanth Neel collaboration too has the power to rake up the mullahs at the box office.

After the success of Bahubali 1 and Bahubali 2, Prabhas had two movies got released which were badly crashed at the box office, in contrast, Prashant Neel too directed two movies, KGF 1 and KGF 2, both were blockbusters at the box office, specially KGF 2, which was historic in numbers at the Indian and worldwide box office numbers, in fact KGF 2 was the highest grossing movie in India till now.

Aamir Khan will join Junior NTR and Prashant Neel in a thrilling role

Can Prashant Neel repeat the same, or go a step ahead. Only time will tell when the movie comes out in the cinemas near us.

Prashant Neel has been a great storyteller in his last two movies and Prabhas has failed miserably in his last two movies, now the question is, when both of them come together, will they succeed, or fail?

Who will rule the Box office in 2023?

3. Animal. (Hindi).

Starring Ranbir Kapoor, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, this movie is said to be the most violent movie of Indian cinema.

After the success of Bhramastra, Ranbir Kapoor is on a high, rightly so, and this year too he could repeat the same when his Movie, Animal releases. Sandeep Reddy Venga is known for his violent movies like Kabir Singh, the remake of Arjun Reddy.

Who would play the role of Dev, father of Shiv in Bhramastra 2?

Both were huge successes at the box office although both were criticized so much for the violent nature of content that Vanga promised in an Interview that he would make the most violent movie in the history of Indian cinema.

And here it is now and it’s going to be released this year, and much awaited too.

The teaser with the background score was phenomenal, and the first look of Ranbir Kapoor is menacing.

Blood from head to toe and the eyes did tell something. Aain time will tell Vanga would be successful or not in making India’s most violent movie.

Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan additionally delayed

4. Tiger 3 (Hindi)

Again from the Yashraj’s spy universe, the third instalment of the Tiger series, starring Salman Khan and directed by Ali Abbas Mastan, this movie could be the game changer of 2023 at the box office.

Salman Khan has not been having good results at the box office in the last few years.

But a successful franchise like Tiger could change his fate and restore his status again as the box office king.

Both ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ and ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ were blockbusters at the box office, and looking at the craze of the Tiger franchise, the third movie is a sure shot success at the box office.

Salman Khan and Revati will be seen together again after 30 years

But only time will tell whether the statement would come true or not as both the first two movies were before the Pandemic and the third one after that.

Yashraj films had a disastrous 2022 at the box office, and content wise too its movies were outdated which led to the misery of most of its movies.

But things look bright this year, first with Pathan, and later with Tiger 3.

Who will rule the Box office in 2023?

5. Kabzaa (Kannada)

This Upendra starrer could be the dark horse of 2023. Directed by R. Chandru, Kabzaa looks to have all the ingredients to be a pan India success story.

Visually it looks similar to KGF franchise movie, but when it arrives in the cinemas later this year, then only we could get to know the verdict of audiences.

Kannada cinema industry had grown leaps and bounds in the last few years and no one is taking the industry lightly anymore.

Seems like another violent gangstar movie with some brutal actions, the movie does seem to connect with the masses. Well, again time will tell.

Conclusion.

Many more movies would be releasing this year from every part of India, and which movie would do what at the box office no one can predict.

Some lesser known movies with quality contents might do better than some big budget movies like last year, like the movies Kantara, Karthikeya 2 and some others.

As the year moves on, we shall be getting the verdict surely.
