Steve Bannon condemned to 4 months in jail for mocking House Jan. 6 panel.

A judge has condemned previous Trump political counselor Steve Bannon to four months detainment and a $6,500 fine for criminal scorn of Congress.

The judge says he's ready to allow Bannon to stay free while he requests his convictions as Bannon is probably not going to escape or represent a threat to the local area.

Bannon mocked requests for records and declarations from the board researching the Jan. 6, 2021, assault on the U.S. Capitol.

Officials on the House Select Board needed to know why he said a day prior to the attack that "crap will hit the fan tomorrow."

Federal prosecutors were looking for what they portray as an "extreme" punishment: a half year in prison and a fine of $200,000.

In court papers recently, they said Bannon sought after "a dishonesty methodology of resistance and hatred."
