On the day of Karwa Chauth, women fast for the entire day like Sankashti Ganesh Chaturthi.

End the worship by offering a lot, a cloth, and a special karwa as Dakshina. When the moon rises in the evening, offer Arghya by worshiping the moon.

After this, feed the parents of Brahmins, married women, and husbands. Take blessings from the husband’s mother by offering a lota, clothes, and special karwa as given above.

History
