Comedian Raju Srivastava Passes away

Comedian Raju Srivastava was born on 25 December 1963 in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.  In his professional life, Raju was known as Gajodhar but his real name is Satya Prakash Srivastava.

Raju Srivastava, who took standup comedy to another level, won the runner-up prize in The Great Indian Laughter Challenge.

Raju entered the bollywood industry playing small roles.  Raju also played a small role in the superhit film Maine Pyar Kiya.

 He played small roles in films like Baazigar , Bombay to Goa , Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiya and others.

  Raju Srivastava married Shikha on 1 July1993.Raju - Shikha have two children - Antara and Ayushman.

 Raju contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Kanpur Lok Sabha constituency on the Samajwadi Party ticket. However, on March 11, 2014, Raju withdrew his Samajwadi Party ticket and joined the BJP.

 Raju Srivastava was also involved in the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.  Prime Minister Narendra Modi nominated Raju for the campaign.
