City of Ocoee to have Veterans Day Function

As per a public statement, this will be the first time the city holds an in-person ceremony since the start of the Coronavirus pandemic. 

The Ceremony will incorporate comments from First Sgt. Espeut-Jones, a retired battle veteran who served in the U.S. Armed force for quite a long time. 

These days, Espeut-Jones serves on the City of Orlando and Orange county Mayor's Veterans Advisory Committees. 

Among the honors that Sgt. Espeut-Jones has received are the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Armed Achievement Medal, Armed force Convenience Award, and Meritorious Award.

Likewise got Humanitarian Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expedition Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal.

Ocoee resident Sherri Gladney will be in participating the occasion to sing the National Anthem. 

The Ocoee Middle School Wind Troupe will play a little collection of melodies and an individual from the secondary school band will play Taps. 

Both the Ocoee Police and Firefighters Ceremonial groups will be in participation to play out the introduction of colors and convey a wreath that will be put on the city's Memorial Wall.
