Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Shamshera’ trailer released
The much-awaited Ranbir Kapoor-starrer ‘Shamshera’ trailer has been released on Friday. Released under the banner of Yash Raj Films, Ranbir Kapoor will appear in a double role for the first time in his career. Apart from Ranbir Kapoor Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt were also seen in the trailer.
The plot of the film is set in the 1800s. We can see in the trailer that the story of ‘Shamshera’ is of a dacoit tribe, and in the fictitious city of Kaza, they thrive for their independence against the Britishers. Ranbir is seen as a slave who eventually turns into the leader of the tribe in order to save them; Daroga Shudh Singh (Sanjay Dutt) is the antagonist.
The female lead Vaani is a dancer (Sona) with whom Shamshera falls in love.
The main antagonist of the film, Sanjay Dutt appears as the ruthless cop. The Britishers bring Sanjay to take control over Shamshera. This is the first time the chocolaty romantic hero will be seen in some hardcore action performance. Also, Ranbir will appear in a double role for the first time in his career. At the end of the trailer, Ranbir’s double role is seen as a father-son duo.
Directed by Karan Malhotra, the film also features flawless actors like Ronit Roy, Saurabh Shukla, Ashutosh Rana, Pitobash Tripathy, and Tridha Choudhary.
Due to Covid-19, the original release date (December 20, 2019) had to be rescheduled many times. The film is finally ready to be released on July 22, 2022.
