Rajiv Kumar(Chief Election Commissioner) announced the schedule for the upcoming Presidential Election 2022. The voting will be held on July 18 and the counting of votes to be done on July 21, 2022. The current President Ram Nath Kovind’s tenure will end on 24 July 2022.
The schedule for voting was announced on Thursday at 3 PM in a Press Meet by the Election Commissioner.

According to Article 62 of the Indian constitution, an election for the next President must be held before the completion of the current Presidents term.

The MLAs of all the States and Union Territories will take part in the voting process of the 2022 Presidential Election.
