PM Modi pays tribute to – Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee 

Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tributes today to the founder of Bharatiya Jana Sangh Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee on his birth anniversary. Mr. Modi said, he is broadly respected for his contribution to India’s development particularly in sectors such as commerce and industry (in a tweet). Also, Prime Minister said that Dr. Mookerjee was also known for his scholarly nature and intellectual prowess and also worked hard for India’s progress and dreamt of a strong and prosperous nation. Union Home Minister Amit Shah also paid tributes to Syama Prasad Mookerjee on his birth anniversary and said that every Indian is beholden for his supreme sacrifice in the struggle to protect Bengal and to keep Kashmir an integral part of India. Whereas Mr shah told that his political opponents also considered that he was a strong political leader. He knew that it won’t be possible to solve the problems of the country with the ideas and policies of the government of that time. That is why he choose the complicated path of long struggle and gave up the interest of the nation.”
