Amid coronavirus lockdown, Neha and Rohanpreet enjoyed all the pre-wedding functions like Mehendi, Sangeet, and Haldi.
Television actress Urvashi Dholakia was also among the few close friends that were invited to their wedding. The couple broke the internet when their first pictures from the wedding surfaced online. Needless to say, they looked like a match made in heaven.
An Indian wedding is not just about Haldi, Mehendi, and the main wedding ceremony. After the couple tied the knot in the presence of their close friends and family members, a plethora of entertaining rituals await them back home. One of them is gaana rasam also known as the ring finding ritual.
In this ritual, the bride and groom compete to find a ring in a bowl of milk and it’s believed that whoever finds it first dominates the other half throughout their married life.
So when Neha Kakkar and Rohanpreet Singh headed back home after their fairytale wedding ceremony, the groom’s family welcomed the new bride with some pre-planned customs including gaana rasam.
the newly married couple is all settled to play the ring finding game. But what’s wonderful is how Rohanpreet’s family is cheering for Neha all throughout. The singer’s brothers-in-law, as can be heard in the video, support her and say, “Bhabhi, jeetna hai.” They hilariously persuade their brother also to lose the game. “Rohan, ab haar ja.” One of them adds, “Bhabhi shart laga lo, Rohan haarega.”
