Madhya Pradesh- To held an election in Urban area
In Madhya Pradesh Votes are been at the first phase of urban body elections today. Voting will be continued till 5.00 PM and also there is a peaceful election reported from all centers till now. It is said that voting will be held in 133 urban areas in 44 out of 52 districts in MP today.
A total of 13,148 balloting places have been set up for this process. Out of all these 3296 balloting stations are sensitive, Also about 79,000 election officials have been moved or deployed for voting while 27,000 police personnel have been positioned for security.
State election commissioner Basant Pratap Singh has informed that in the first period voting is going around in 11 municipal corporations 36 municipal councils and 86 municipal councils.
Whereas voting for the second phase of urban election in the state is to be followed from July 13. The counting of votes will take place from July 17 – from 9.00 AM onwards.
