Last friday a riot broke out in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh due to some controversial words by ex BJP leader Nupur Sharma on Prophet Mohammad. Now he is been suspended by BJP for his words. Action is being taken against the accused of violence in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Two special teams SIT(Special Investigation Team) and ATS(Anti-Terrorism Squad) had to be engaged in order to solve this matter. The convicts took petrol in bottles from a nearby petrol station near the Deputy halt in Kanpur. Evidence has been captured in the CCTV footage and taken into account during the investigation. Action is being taken against the petrol pump and it’s license has been supended.
Petrol bombs and stones were their main instruments for violence and used fiercely in the Kanpur attack. The accused have been identified during the investigation by police and the mastermind Hayat Zafar Hashmi is captured.
ATS will take charge of the case and investigate every possible angle. For this, ADG ATS Naveen Arora has reached Kanpur and along with ATS personnel is investigating violence affected areas, special commandos have been deployed too.
Using CCTV footage the convicts are being identified and captured. According to sources, the person present in the custody of Kotwali police has got links with the Popular Front of India.
36 named 24 arrested in Kanpur violence. Police have registered 36 named including Hayat in the first FIR. The commissioner said that the incident seems to be a conspiracy. Connection with Popular Front of India is being probed. Javed Ahmed Khan, general secretary of Maulana Ali Johar Fans Association, runs a YouTube channel said the police officer.
