Deepak Chahar to miss T20s against England

Indian pacer and T20 specialist Deepak Chahar suffered from a hamstring injury that kept him away from Indian Premier League(IPL) 2022, will probably take four to five more weeks to completely recover from his injury.

Deepak Chahar and Washington Sundar are currently recuperating from a hand injury in NCA(National Cricket Academy) along with T Natarajan.

“Don’t Think I Will Be Fit For England T20s” said Chahar. While Chahar is most likely to miss the T20s between India and England, all-rounder Washington is set to be a part of the County Championship and will play for leading county side Lancashire in England.

Chahar got injured while playing in a series against West Indies in Kolkata.

After his rehab session, he told the PTI “I am bowling four to five overs at one go as per my rehab program right now. My recovery is going pretty well and I think it will take another four to five weeks for me to get match fit.”
