COVID-19 updates
India has new reports of 18,840 fresh COVID-19 cases, 43 death, (active cases across 1.2 lakhs ) in the last 24 hours ending at 8 AM Saturday so the recent active cases stand at 1,25,028. In Delhi 531 fresh Covid 19 cases and 3 deaths in the last 24 hours were reported on Friday by the health department. Delhi recorded a rate of 3.13%. Whereas in Mumbai on the other hand new 530 cases of coronavirus infections with 5.25% positive positivity cases also 2 deaths were reported.
For now, the NTAGI’s Standing Technical Sub-Committee (STSC) approved the use of COVID-19 vaccines Corbevax and Covaxin for children from 5 to 12 years on June 16. However, there was no decision on introducing these vaccines in the vaccination program, and the members decided that the vaccines can be recommended for administration in children.
